Our Environmental Policy
Environmentally we try hard to meet exacting ethical standards in all areas of our business, and are always seeking to improve.
Petalcraft composts as much of our floral waste and cardboard as possible.
We source as many flowers as we can from local / regional and Dutch growers delivered straight to door. Of course, local and Dutch grown flowers are not air freighted.
However, not all our flowers are from Europe; for many exotic flowers, it is more environmentally friendly to import than it is to grow locally in heated greenhouses. And by importing from countries such as Columbia and Kenya, we are helping third world farmers through trade.
On request, we can supply eco-friendly florist sundries and alternatives from biodegradable bags and cello to floral rings.
